Scenario Details

  • Pete is a 34-year-old single male with a diagnosis of schizophrenia since the age of 23
  • He has had 3 hospitalizations, one after stopping the antipsychotic due to sexual side effects and twice claiming that he took the medication “religiously”
  • He has been using alcohol and marijuana intermittently, which he noticed sometimes calms him down but at other times gets him more “thinking” and agitated
  • He has recently been under stress as he has started attending a supported employment training program and has been smoking marijuana more regularly to counter the stress, especially on weekends to “chill and recover”
